What is milk punch?
The cocktail is clarified with milk using a method that is over 200 years old. As early as 1711, the housewife Mary Rockett recorded a recipe that is now considered the first written mention of the Milk Punch genre. According to cocktail historian David Wondrich, “Mary Rockett's Citrus Milk Punch” was made by mixing brandy, lemon juice and zest, sugar and water. The mix was then poured with boiling milk - and the flocculating protein solids were strained off after a while to obtain a clarified drink.
The special thing about the technique is that the clarification filters out all cloudy and bitter substances and you get a crystal-clear drink. A nice side effect is that the cocktail has a much longer shelf life.
Due to their long shelf life, milk punches are also ideal for gatherings on special occasion and catering for events that may not have a fully equipped bar or appropriate staff and still have high-quality drinks want to serve. What is the difference between milk punch and other cocktails?
Fruit wine is like regular wine, but the fruit used is not grapes. Alcohol is produced solely through the fermentation of fruit; more precisely, through the alcoholic fermentation of sugar. Therefore no alcohol is added and no distillation is performed.
Does milk punch contain milk?
Fruit wine usually has an alcohol content comparable to traditional wine, between 10-15%, but is also available in lower-alcohol forms similar to cider.
What is rhubarb?
Grapes are one of the easiest fruits to make wine, but there are many other fruits that can be used to make wine. There are tons of grape flavored wines on the market because people expect a lot from it and know how it tastes.
Is rhubarb healthy?

Source of inspiration: Rhubarb crumble is a British-style soufflé cake made with rhubarb and other ingredients. When I was a child, I remember one time my parents took me to a five-star hotel for dinner on Christmas. This dessert fascinated me. The memory was still fresh, so the creative idea started from there, mixing biscuit crumbs with rhubarb and vanilla to create a heart-warming dessert wine!
