Product Description：Tilapia is a tropical fish originating from Africa. The regional distribution in China was first introduced to Taiwan from Singapore. Tilapia likes high temperatures, tolerates low oxygen and high salinity, and can live in both sea and fresh water. Omnivorous, adult fish like to eat plankton and benthic organisms.
Since 2002, tilapia has been the fourth most consumed fish in the United States. Tilapia is popular for its low price and mild flavor. Its meat is fresh and tender with few thorns. Although it has a slight earthy smell, it has become an important source of food protein for the public due to factors such as easy breeding and low price.
It is also a popular traditional Filipino food, also known for its low cost and mild taste. Traditionally in the country, fish is either fried as a separate food or boiled as part of a dish.
The common name "tilapia" comes from the name of the cichlid genus Tilapia, which itself is the Latinization of tlhapi, the Tswana word for "fish". Scottish zoologist Andrew Smith named the genus in 1840.

Cooking Tips：In cooking, it is often used in recipes similar to braised carp.
