Product Description：Body shape: The body is elongated, the sides are flat, and the abdomen is round or slightly straight. Head: The head is short, the snout is short, round and blunt, slightly protruding forward. Two pairs are required. Body surface: The scales are medium-large, and the scales on the chest and abdomen are small. The base of the pelvic fin has long and narrow axillary scales. The lateral line is complete, the center is slightly curved, and runs straight into the center of the caudal peduncle. Each fin: The dorsal fin has no hard spines, the outer edge is slightly concave, the pectoral fin has a pointed end, the pelvic fin is pointed, longer than the pectoral fin, and the caudal fin is deeply forked. Body color: The back of the body is blue-grey, the belly is silvery white, each scale on the side of the body has black spots, it is light green when alive, and each fin is gray-black. The general length is 15.2 cm, the maximum length is 55 cm, and the maximum weight is 500 grams.
Waters: Rivers, lakes and reservoirs in Asia, China and Southeast Asia. Mainly distributed: Pearl River, Yuanjiang River, Lancang River, Minjiang River and other rivers.
Chinese aquaculture farmers are accustomed to raising dace, which is bottom-feeding and mixed with upper-layer grass carp, while silver carp and bighead carp live and eat deep in the middle layer.

Storage Method：Low temperature preservation method is generally used. After removing the scales, gills and internal organs, clean the fish, put the fish in a fresh-keeping bag, and store it in the freezer of the refrigerator.
#Should Be / Avoided：
Sweet in taste and neutral in nature, it enters the liver and spleen meridians and has the effects of strengthening muscles and bones, promoting qi, activating blood circulation, and diuresis.

Suitable for consumption by the general population: Suitable for people with weak constitution, insufficient Qi and blood, and malnutrition; Suitable for people with hot bladder, difficulty urinating, cirrhosis, ascites, and malnutrition edema;
Contraindications: Contraindicated in yin deficiency, asthma and cough. The Center for Food Safety points out that the gallbladders of some carp fish (including dace) contain toxic chemicals that will not disappear after cooking.
