*Special Notes
Especially since the fruits came from afar from Sicily, some of Jennifer's fruits are directly purchased from small farmers. The locals like to harvest the fruits when they are ripe. No pesticides are applied to the organic fruits, and it is normal to have defects on the surface. We do not return or exchange products based on individual subjective factors (aroma, size, sweetness, etc.). However, if the fruit is damaged/damaged on a large scale, we are happy to make return/exchange arrangements based on the degree of damage to the fruit. Please contact our store via Whatsapp/phone within 24 hours and send us the photo of the fruit in question.
About the founder - Jennifer Tang
Founder Jennifer's relationship with Hong Kong was temporarily separated by food; the relationship with Sicily was sprouted by food.
She travels to Italy in search of life and meets Guido (now her husband), a Sicilian farmer. He and his father own a modest organic orchard in Sicily with dozens of varieties of fruit. Living through farming, they build under-complementary communities with like-minded people. However, farming to make a living in Sicily is not easy, and the orchards have to face endless problems, not only to guard against thieves in the town and to deal with bureaucratic taxes, but also to face the seasons when the weather is not as expected, and even the problem of the agricultural mafia.
"Made in Italy" seems like a guarantee of quality, but the agricultural mafia has been taking advantage of long and opaque supply chains. Issues such as piracy, counterfeiting, cutting corners, and exploitation of labor are common factors that wreak havoc on the livelihoods of local smallholder farmers. To bring security to farmers is to bring security to our food, but we cannot rely on government measures or policies. We must build a community with farmers and customers, local and foreign, to shorten supply chains, increase transparency, and let consumers know where products come from and how they are made, or visit farms in person.
Therefore, they are the link between farmers and consumers. They take advantage of their local presence in Sicily to bring the best Sicilian products to Hong Kong, bringing you back in touch with real food.
